Druid's Revenge

This was a project to see how much progress I could get in one week of non stop work towards one project. The game is of a druid who is trying to reclaim nature by destroying the evil ooze that plagues the land.

Level Layout

For this project I aimed to try and make sure the player had time to truly understand the mechanic. I did this by designing the level in a way that the player could be introduced, practice and master the mechanic.

Introduction to Main Mechanic

The main mechanic of this game is "Moss Magic", where the player can transform ooze that can hurt the player into a solid plant like surface that they can traverse freely.

Dabbling in AI

In this game, I also started to work with basic AI enemy classes to give the player a stressor while they are trying to clear the objectives.

Gate

Lastly, As I was designing, I ran into a problem with players skipping whole parts of my game to just go to the finish. So I added in a game that fit within the games setting and also show cased what they could try to do with the "Moss" mechanic down the line.
